Seeing Heliodor’s white hair, Lysithea’s parents believed he was also experimented on and take him in, secretly replacing with one of Lysithea’s older brothers who did not survive the experiment.

Can you still be homeless if your home exists where your heart is? The answer is yes.
The wet nurse lead him to the neighboring Ordelia territory, following the other struggling people of Hrym fleeing their homes. However, due to House Ordelia being occupied by the Empire, many were forced to return. Luckily, that boy managed to sneak through and find himself at the door steps of House Ordelia, thanks to his wet nurse sacrificing her life to distract the Imperial guards. Despite the falling tears from the loss of yet another loved one, he manages to tell the Count and Countess of House Ordelia his story and asks for refugee, knowing fully well that they were struggling—no thanks to his family failing them.
To his surprise, they say yes—except it’s not exactly for the same reason he thought of.
The striking pale white hair. The Ordelia couple had thought only their daughter would have had that hair color—the only one to have survived those excruciating experiments, the only one to have their live be cut painfully short—and yet, in front of their eyes filled with horror, was yet another child on his knees begging for help who had the same hair color.
How could they ever say no to someone who had gone through the same thing as their own daughter?
They agree to take in him, but they cannot call him by his current name for the Empire would find out about his origin. They instead let him assume the identity of one of their older sons who had died during those experiments, but they dare not tell him that they know—know that he was hiding how his white hair came to be and that their own daughter had gone through the same experiments he had. (They actually don’t know shit—they’re just assuming he went through crest experiments LMAO — Azzy)
When the boy enters the room to meet his new sister, the small girl, who had not spoken to anyone ever since the experiments, looked up and saw someone with the same hair color as her own. She grabbed his sleeve and called him, in a soft and cracked voice, by his new name—Heliodor.
